Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Grand Prairie, Texas is seeking an Electrical Product Engineer to assist in sketches, layout design, and specifications. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role has no direct reports and supports ECAD development and testing.

The ideal candidate brings a degree in electrical engineering, 1+ years as a product engineer, proficiency with AutoCAD or Zuken, and strong communication skills. U.S. work eligibility is required.

Siemens is looking for a Electrical Product Engineer for their Grand Prairie, TX location to assist and participate in the preparation of sketches, design layouts, and other specifications. This person will report to the Engineering Manager and have no direct reports.

You will make an impact by:

• Provides support in designs to verify equipment performs in the intended manner.
• Participates in preparing ECAD drawings for testing and provides technical assistance on design feasibility.
• Assists in standardizing semi-complex materials, components and assemblies.
• Participates in maintaining detailed and comprehensive records of all cost saving ideas, custom designs, and basic improvements.
• Provides support in documenting product issues for future reference and problem resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1 plus years’ experience as a Product Engineer.
• Experience working with AutoCAD/Zuken.
• Proficient with MS-Office applications.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and capability to promote new ideas and products.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Switchgear/Switchboards and PLC.

• The pay range for this position is $67,544 - $115,790 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
