Job summary

Caddell Construction is seeking an Electrical Procurement Coordinator in Montgomery, AL. The role focuses on designing electrical equipment and materials, reviewing design docs for compliance, and managing cost control throughout procurement and submittal processes.

Responsibilities include issuing bid documents, evaluating pricing for best value, and coordinating with vendors to meet project schedules. Strong communication, MS Office skills, and multi-disciplinary collaboration are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with Design/Build Coordinator in the process of designing electrical equipment and materials.
  • Reviews design development documents for compliance with project requirements.
  • Performs quantity surveys and estimates based on project plans and specifications.
  • Prepares and issues bid documents to prospective vendors and subcontractors seeking pricing information. Evaluates pricing information for best value and specified product with Procurement Manager prior to awarding contract.
  • Writes and issues contract documents for purchase of material and equipment needed for projects.
  • Tracks projects from design inception through completion to include all changes in design.
  • Coordinates with the technical coordinator and issues change orders as needed to prospective vendors.
  • Verifies adherence to project budget by maintaining cost control of all materials and equipment purchased.
  • Obtains and reviews submittals for adherence to contract documents.
  • Upon approval of submittal, releases equipment from manufacturer for delivery and verify that materials and equipment are delivered as specified.
  • Coordinates with the technical coordinator on critical procurement and submittal items to meet project schedule.
  • Provides procurement updates to the technical coordinator and procurement manager for buy‑out meetings.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned.

What You Will Do

Working Conditions
  • Some travel required.
  • Some light lifting may be required (up to 50 lbs), walking, standing, sitting, keyboarding, writing and reading.

While the salary range is typically between $88,500 and $132,700 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
