Job summary

Fervo Energy in Houston, TX, is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to support the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical power systems across geothermal development projects, including transmission, distribution, substations, interconnections, and renewable integration.

You will collaborate with internal engineering teams, consultants, vendors, and construction partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with NEC/NESC and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and engineering design practices.
• Working knowledge of NEC and NESC.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering, technical, and financial analyses for electrical power projects.
• Conduct power system planning and operational studies incl. reliability and economic dispatch.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, and transient studies.
