Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Our Houston, TX office seeks a qualified Electrical Power Engineer to support our electrical power offerings.

Key Experience and Skills:

• 4-8 years’ experience in developing electrical construction and specification packages suitable for PE stamping and authority plan check
• Experience with Grounding, Conduit and cable schedules, Construction specifications, Equipment and installation details
• Experience with area classification drawings (preferred)
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, API 500 (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with power system modeling tools (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower)
• Experience with electrical relay settings (GE Multilin, SEL)
• Strong communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam completed

Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical load studies and construction packages
• Prepare bills of materials and coordinate with vendors
• Perform field verification and factory acceptance testing
• Lead start-up and commissioning activities
• Provide after-hours support as needed
• Collaborate with Project Managers on deliverables and estimates
• Travel approximately 40% for project needs
