Medium Voltage Electrical Power Engineer (with substation experience)

Join the team at Strategy Engineering and Consulting, LLC as a Medium Voltage Electrical Power Engineer (with substation experience).

This role involves supporting and actively participating in substation design from concept through final construction, interfacing with project managers and discipline leads to ensure accuracy across engineering packages.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and engineering of substations from concept to completion.
• Electrical engineering work involving utility substation standards.
• Design for projects such as relay upgrades, breaker additions, transformer replacements, RTU installations, and new substations.
• Physical design including bus additions and equipment installations.
• Creating project scopes, estimates, and schedules.
• Preparing specifications and material lists.
• Overseeing review sets, construction sets, and project closeout.
• Client and utility coordination, site visits, and mentoring team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in utility-scale substation design for power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution.
• Knowledge of IEEE standards and power system studies.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; P.E. preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and analysis programs.
