Job summary

Our client in North Chicago is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead one or more electrical construction projects in the Greater Chicago area. You will establish objectives, organize teams, oversee execution, and maintain client relationships, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

The role requires strong strategic thinking, P&L accountability, and effective communication with internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or related field preferred.
Eight+ years of experience in electrical construction.
Experience preparing construction cost estimates and managing budgets.
Knowledge of construction contracts and estimating software such as Accubid.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and participate in project estimating, budgeting, and scheduling.
Attend pre-bid project walkthroughs and develop project strategy.
Communicate regularly with internal teams and clients; manage P&L and margins.
Schedule material releases and coordinate with the construction team on prefab opportunities.
Implement LEAN and AGILE construction strategies; manage project timeline.
Prepare Method of Procedures and oversee shutdowns and cutovers; ensure smooth operations.
