Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in Lexington, Kentucky. This role requires ownership of planning, financial performance, scheduling, procurement, field coordination, and successful project delivery, collaborating with Superintendents, Foremen, and engineers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction.
• Experience managing projects valued at $5 million to $15 million or more.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and applicable safety codes and practices.
• Strong planning, organization, delegation, customer-service, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; AccuBid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from planning and startup through execution and closeout.
• Lead budgeting, cost management, financial projections, scheduling, procurement, production tracking, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software and pull-planning activities.
• Coordinate with field leadership on manpower, planning, scheduling, productivity, and priorities.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, PCOs, submittals, issues, risks, and meeting minutes.
• Review bid documents, contracts, subcontracts, major material purchases, and change orders.
• Maintain client communication regarding progress, milestones, scope changes, and issue resolution.
• Support quality assurance and safety/compliance efforts.
• Assist with project closeout including as-builts, O&M documentation, and warranties.
