Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for our plywood mill in Dudley, North Carolina. The role leads the plant’s electrical production function, overseeing the Electrical Supervisor and staff to deliver reliable operations and safe practices.

The candidate will champion safety through involvement and accountability, mentor the Electrical team, and collaborate with Project Leaders and Engineering to install and optimize systems while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of electrical experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
• Working knowledge of PC-based tools such as MS Word, Excel, and maintenance or production reporting systems.
• Ability to learn and effectively use site-specific systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of salaried and hourly associates in the Electrical Department.
• Plan and assign daily work tasks to ensure efficient use of labor and maintenance resources.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support training and development of electrical personnel.
• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems including PLCs, motors, drives, and power distribution.
