Job summary

KLA seeks an experienced electronics professional to diagnose and repair complex PCBA failures across PCBAs at the board level, supporting products through their lifecycle. You will work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality repair solutions and root-cause analysis.

Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, plus hands-on debugging with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers, is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electronics development or board-level support.
• Strong capability in PCBA failure analysis and debugging with limited docs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot defective PCBAAs with lab equipment.
• Perform board-level failure analysis on analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Support ECOs with technical justification and cross-functional coordination.
• Collaborate with systems, software, manufacturing, service and supply chain teams.

This role requires strong technical capability in PCBA failure analysis, the ability to work through circuit-level problems with limited design documentation, and close collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver timely, high-quality repair solutionsKey Responsibilities:Diagnose and troubleshoot defective PCBAs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and related lab equipmentConduct PCBA design analysis (reverse engineering) to understand circuit intent and failure modes, building toward reverse engineering capabilityTroubleshoot PCBA issues with limited or no design documentation, applying critical thinking and systematic debugging techniquesPerform board-level failure analysis on analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, working with senior engineers when issues span sub-system boundariesSupport the development of board diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair plans — including contributing to approach definition, timeline estimation, and identification of technical dependenciesSupport engineering change orders (ECOs) with technical justification and cross-functional coordinationContribute to root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation, with increasing independence on moderate-complexity problemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, software, manufacturing, service, supply chain) to support issue resolutionSupport technical engagement with external vendors on issue resolution and repair readinessDevelop and maintain engineering documentation including test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and repair records.Engage with suppliers to train them on board troubleshooting, repair execution trainingsCommunicate progress, findings, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersWork effectively with junior and senior team members in a collaborative environmentTravel for escalations as needed, primarily to Singapore and ChinaPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering , or related discipline7+ years of experience in electronics develop, sustaining engineering, or board‑level sub‑system supportDemonstrated ability to independently resolve complex board and sub‑system level issuesStrong expertise in analog and digital circuit design principles and hands‑on PCBA troubleshootingProven experience driving root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and ECO executionStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teamsMinimum QualificationsMaster's Level Degree and 3 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5years; or equivalent work experienceAbout KLAWe provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
