Job summary

Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt LLP seeks a Junior Associate to join its Electrical Patent Prosecution Practice Group on-site in its Alexandria, Virginia office, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence at least 3 days per week. The candidate will analyze and prepare replies to office actions and amendments, attend invention and disclosure meetings with clients, and prepare and prosecute patent and design applications.

A J.D.

Qualifications

J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in a state bar and before the USPTO.
Technical background in electrical/engineering fields as listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

Prepare replies to office actions and amendments.
Conduct invention and disclosure meetings/calls with clients.
Prepare patent applications and design applications; prosecute design patents.
Study patents and prosecution histories; support opinions of non-infringement or invalidity.
Assist with technology licensing agreements and related transactions.
Support litigation, administrative reviews, petitions and appeals.
