Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Junior Associate to join its Electrical Patent Prosecution Practice Group in Alexandria, VA. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days per week.

Candidates must have a technical background in electrical engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, electronics, engineering technology, and/or physics, plus a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and USPTO admission.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Licensed to practice in a state bar and before the USPTO.
• Demonstrated academic achievement.
• Superior writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare replies to office actions and amendments.
• Conduct invention and disclosure meetings with clients.
• Prepare new patent applications and prosecute design applications.
• Study patents and prosecution history files for non-infringement or invalidity opinions.
• Assist with technology licensing agreements and related transactions.
• Support litigation, administrative reviews, petitions, and appeals.
