Coilcraft, Inc. in Cary, Illinois is seeking an Electrical Panel Builder to join our custom machine design team. You will build and wire electrical control panels, support machine assembly, and help bring automation equipment from concept to production.

You will read schematics and diagrams, solder components, troubleshoot systems, and keep BOMs updated while maintaining safety and quality standards on every build.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year wiring and soldering experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Basic Windows PC skills.
• Strong math and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Proficient with hand tools and wire crimping tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Build, modify, drill, assemble, and wire control panels and boxes.
• Solder PC boards, cable assemblies, and high-density connectors.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support startup/testing.
• Update BOMs and electrical documentation.
• Use wire crimping tools, hand tools, and electrical assembly equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians on machine builds.
• Maintain safety, workmanship, and quality standards.

Position: Electrical Panel Builder

Location: Cary, Illinois

Coilcraft, Inc. is a privately held global manufacturer headquartered in Cary, Illinois, with a 75+ year reputation for engineering excellence. We are seeking an Electrical Panel Builder / Machine Wiring Associate to join our custom machine design and engineering team. In this hands‑on role, you'll build and wire electrical control panels, support machine assembly, and help bring custom automation equipment from concept to production.

About the Role and Your Impact

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Build, modify, drill, assemble, and wire electrical control panels and control boxes
• Solder PC boards, cable assemblies, and high-density connectors
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support machine startup and testing
• Update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and electrical documentationUse wire crimping tools, hand tools, and electrical assembly equipment
• Work closely with engineers and technicians on custom machine builds
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality

Who We're Looking For
