Job summary

Alliance Industrial Solutions in Morrisville, NC is hiring an Electrical Panel Builder & Field Technician. You will start with 3 to 6 months of hands-on shop training to master control panel builds, wiring standards, and testing procedures.

After training, you will split time between shop fabrication and field installations, including conduit runs and machine startups at customer sites. A 1+ year background in electrical work and the ability to read schematics are required.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in electrical control panel building or electrical work.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams independently.
  • Conduit bending (EMT/Rigid) and wire pulling are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of 480V 3-phase power and 24VDC control circuits.
  • Proficiency using digital multimeters, megohmmeters, and hand/power tools.
  • Willingness to complete 3–6 months of shop training prior to field dispatch.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Build and wire industrial control panels from electrical schematics, layout prints, and BOMs.
  • Mount DIN rail, wire duct, circuit breakers, contactors, relays, power supplies, VFDs, and PLCs.
  • Route, crimp, terminate, and label wiring to UL 508A standards.
  • Perform point-to-point continuity checks, power testing, and electrical troubleshooting prior to shipment.
  • Phase 2: Measure, cut, thread, and bend EMT and Rigid conduit; pull wire and terminate power and low-voltage circuits.
  • Support equipment startups, perform PLC I/O checkouts, and diagnose field wiring faults.
