Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced Panel Builder in Naperville, IL to build, wire, and test industrial control panels from electrical schematics and BOMs. This role involves both repeat and customized panels, with several weeks of wiring for complex builds.

You will install and troubleshoot relays, breakers, switches, and motor controls, and work with PLCs and HMIs. Heavy lifting and light mechanical work are required daily in a stable, long-term position.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of electrical panel building experience.
  • Strong ability to read electrical schematics and BOMs.
  • Exposure to PLCs and HMIs; PLC programming not required.
  • Comfortable with hands-on mechanical work.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels from schematics and BOMs.
  • Build repeat and customized panels, with weeks-long wiring as needed.
  • Install and troubleshoot relays, circuit breakers, switches, and motor controls.
  • Work with PLCs and HMIs; assist with light troubleshooting and commissioning.
  • Perform basic mechanical work (drilling, tapping, punching, mounting).
  • Support electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, and field service activities as needed.
