Job summary

Design Ready Controls is seeking an Assembly Technician to support the manufacture of custom control panels. The role involves wiring tasks, sheet metal assembly, component assembly and setup, panel wiring and label application, with a basic ability to read schematics.

You will use hand and power tools, read drawings, and work with a team in a detail- oriented environment. The position requires basic math, tool safety, and willingness to learn lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

Qualifications

• High School Education Or Equivalent Experience Required.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical symbols.
• Ability to use basic measurement tools (scale, ruler).
• Ability to perform basic math (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to stand and lift as required; overtime may be needed.
• Clear communication in English; safety-focused and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Verify parts for assembly match the Bill of Materials.
• Assemble electrical panels according to drawings, including sheet metal pieces and mounting components.
• Terminate wire ends and add terminals to connect devices.
• Prepare panels for testing and shipping, including labels and IDs.
• Troubleshoot basic panel wiring and identify issues.
• Learn process improvements and escalate to leadership.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and wear safety gear.
• Implement 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Assist or participate in training measures as assigned.
• Champion our core values and collaborate with team members.
