Job summary

Westinghouse's WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking an Engineer-Level 1 for a 1-year contract (W-2) with a client in Story City, IA. A subject matter expert in motor rewinds and repairs is required.

You will provide guidance on testing and repairs, start an electrical motor repair process, and apply engineering experience in motor repair and rewinding. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing wind turbines and solar generation equipment, and serving as a storage hub for renewable energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Experience developing expertise in engineering standards, project coordination, and decision-making.
• Experience in the electric motor repair industry is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• You will be a key player in maintaining, repairing wind turbine, solar generation equipment, as well as serving as a vital storage hub for renewable energy components
• You will be working to start an electrical motor repair process to add to the current mechanical and electrical repairs.
• You will use your engineering experience primarily in motor repair and rewinding.
• You will help establish procedures and process related to motor repairs.
• You will work with site management and mechanical engineer to identify equipment needs to rebuild, rewind, and test electric motors.
