Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an entry-level Electrical Monitoring Engineer to join the Onshore Wind Fleet Performance Management team in Greenville, SC. You will learn to interpret electrical system data, detect abnormal performance, and support diagnostics across thousands of turbines while building your data analysis and programming skills on the job.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (completed or in progress).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret technical data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational data, SCADA signals, alarms, and events to identify abnormal electrical performance and system anomalies.
  • Support diagnostic assessment of electrical faults, power quality issues, and intermittent failures.
  • Interpret field performance data and service records to assess component health.
  • Support fleet diagnostics and maintenance prioritization through electrical performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with Controls, Electrical, Systems, Services, Fleet Reliability, and RCA teams to resolve issues and inform improvements.
  • Build and improve scripts, queries, and dashboards to support electrical monitoring and grow programming skills.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to team members and stakeholders.
