Job summary

Saic is looking for a mid to senior level Engineering Technician in Newport, RI. This role supports the maintenance and calibration of advanced testing equipment in a multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree, at least 3 years of experience, and be able to obtain a SECRET clearance. Key skills include troubleshooting electrical systems and maintaining mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Must be able to obtain clearance up to the level of SECRET.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, setup, breakdown, and repair of test equipment.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team for electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Skills

Ability to read and understand electrical/system schematics

Experience troubleshooting AC and DC voltages

Installation and testing of electrical circuits

Familiarity with electrical testing and calibration equipment

Assembling and repairing mechanical equipment

Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)

Education

Associate’s degree in technical or engineering discipline

Tools

Electrical testing equipment

Data acquisition systems (PXI, cRio)
