Job summary

The Clorox Company in New York is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Technician (EMT) to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, read manuals, and assist engineers.

Starting pay: $33.77/hour (M Shift Day). This on-site role requires lifting, safety training, and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform upkeep, install machinery per blueprints, enter data into maintenance systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with high school diploma or GED.
• Willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, charts, and parts manuals.
• Aptitude to perform measurements, calculations, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Plan work procedures and select replacement parts from manuals and specs.
• Interact with engineers, technicians, and line workers in a consultative manner.
• Perform work orders for troubleshooting/repair or upgrade of production equipment.
• Visually inspect equipment to identify causes of malfunctions and perform maintenance.
• Install machinery or equipment according to blueprints and layouts.
• Initiate and complete work orders in CMMS and maintain records.
