Job summary

Amcor Hazleton Plant is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Technician to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical and control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will install and maintain motors, drives, PLCs, and related equipment, support preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards while collaborating with production teams.

This role requires safety consciousness, strong problem solving, and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Shift: 2-2-3: 12-hour shifts, nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Preferred qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical/electronics preferred
• 3+ years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and maintenance systems
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work safely with high-voltage systems and equipment
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment
