Job summary

JobCenter in Atlanta, GA is seeking a skilled Fitter Technician for a full-time role responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment in our facility.

You will conduct inspections, perform repairs, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and document work. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a related role, reads schematics, and can work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Fitter or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, identifying any issues or potential problems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
