The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and equipment essential for our electrical projects, ensuring that we maintain cost‑effective and efficient supply chains while adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 10+ years purchasing experience.
• Experience in electrical or construction industries.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Selection: Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms and establish relationships with vendors to ensure reliable sources.
• Purchasing: Place orders for electrical materials and supplies to meet project requirements.
• Inventory Management: Maintain records of inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
• Cost Control: Monitor pricing trends and negotiate favorable terms to maximize profitability.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure purchased materials meet required standards and specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all procurement activities.
• Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to coordinate procurement efforts.
