Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with an Electrical Engineering emphasis to support eight facilities in the North American Food Division.

The role involves electrical programming, troubleshooting, and documentation for 3-Piece and 2-Piece metal cans and end processes. Ideal candidate resides near a major airport in the Midwest or Eastern US and will travel up to 70% to plant locations; BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and 5+ years in packaging manufacturing are

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years in packaging manufacturing, food production or similar industry.
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical power and controls design and installation.
• Experience with PLC logic programming, documentation and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon).
• Experience with facilities power distribution (up to 600V, three phase) and control systems.
• Power transmission equipment such as gearboxes and drive trains.
• Proven track record delivering engineering outputs to meet targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to interact across all levels.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, well-organized and time-managed.
• Proficient with Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide problem-solving on electrical technical matters for food can/end performance.
• Develop full documentation package for new and existing installations.
• Support new installations and plants until production efficiencies and goals are met.
• Support plants and personnel to identify problems, viable solutions, and implement them.
• Develop job completion schedules and monitor progress.
• Guide, support and train plant electrical teams.
