Job summary

Washington Penn is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on facility equipment, including extruder machinery, to improve asset value and reliability while lowering costs. You will ensure production requirements are met and operate within safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates read blueprints, use a voltmeter, and have 2+ years of electrical maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow Blueprints.
• Must be able to utilize/read a voltmeter and troubleshoot.
• 2+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in electrical circuits, electrical measurements, circuit analysis.
• Experience with PLCs, including Allen Bradley, Red Line, Mitsubishi and Omron.
• Ability to weld and fabricate to apply solutions after diagnosis of repair requirements.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, software and logic in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow EHS policies and support safety initiatives.
• Participate in Monthly Safety Meetings and perform safety audits.
• Provide technical guidance on manufacturing process and equipment design.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance; log data.
• Record parts used in Maintenance Management System.
• Perform electrical work in accordance with NEC code.
• Maintain production uptime by managing resources and priorities.
• Authorize stops to correct quality issues.
• Contribute to safe, efficient and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Interface with vendors, contractors and engineers for capital projects.
