Electrical Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

Position Summary

Maintain manufacturing equipment, repair or replace failed components, interpret programmable logic controllers and circuit analysis, and perform preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot equipment issues and develop repairs to improve quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot circuitry and control systems using automation skills, electronics, and mechanics
• Troubleshoot malfunctions using programmable controllers and circuit analysis
• Work on AC & DC Systems up to 480 volts
• Record activities in a maintenance management system
• Perform electrical maintenance on various machinery including lathes, mills, welding equipment, presses, and assembly lines
• Work with PLCs, CNCs, and Robots, and modify PLC programs as needed
• Use test equipment like multi-meters, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Coordinate troubleshooting efforts, track downtime, and report
• Understand electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings
• Reduce downtime through efficient work and root cause analysis
• Maintain a commitment to safety and quality; communicate effectively and work as part of a team

Required Skills and Abilities

• At least 1 year of experience in production maintenance, preferably in automotive manufacturing
• Experience with electrical maintenance on industrial machinery
• Knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi products
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic
• Understanding of electrical systems: 480/230v 3ph, 110/24 VDC controls
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards

Education and Certifications

• Associates Degree or Technical Diploma in Industrial Maintenance or related field
