Qualifications

• Electrical troubleshooting experience on high-speed production machinery.
• Hands-on PLC/automation experience with drivers, sensors, motors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics related to maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & controls performance ownership for multiple automated production machines.
• PLC/controls monitoring and ensuring proper function of PLCs, drivers, sensors, and motors.
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting to diagnose faults and root causes.
• Repair or replace electrical components; calibration and testing of control systems.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Maintenance Technician is focused on repairs of components and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Maintenance Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Electrical & controls performance — Own the electrical, controls, and automation performance of multiple automated production machines used in glass manufacturing.

• PLC/controls monitoring — Observe machine operation, monitor control systems, and ensure proper function of PLCs, drivers, sensors, and motors.

• Advanced electrical troubleshooting — Diagnose electrical faults, trace wiring issues, interpret schematics, and identify root causes of machine malfunctions.

• Controls repair & calibration — Repair or replace electrical components, sensors, relays, drivers, and control devices; perform calibration and functional testing.

• Mechanical support — Perform mechanical repairs as needed to support electrical and controls functionality.

• Safety response — Stop machines when electrical or controls malfunctions are detected and perform corrective actions safely and efficiently.

What We Are Looking For

• Electrical troubleshooting expertise — Strong experience diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling electrical systems on high‑speed production machinery.

• PLC/automation experience — Hands‑on experience with PLCs, drivers, sensors, motors, and industrial control systems.

• Electrical schematics — Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Hydraulics/pneumatics — Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems with troubleshooting capability.

• CMMS familiarity — Experience using CMMS systems for electrical and controls maintenance documentation.

• Reliability and flexibility — Strong attendance record and willingness to work various shifts and weekends as needed.
