Ideal candidates will have mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and the ability to safely operate machinery in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will work a rotating schedule with the opportunity for growth within a dynamic company.

Job Overview: This position requires a mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled electrical/electronic equipment installation and the repair and replacement of plant equipment.

Schedule: The training schedule is Monday – Friday from 7 am – 3 pm. Once fully trained, associates will work 7 pm – 7 am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Pay: $24.79 - $40.80/hr.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and deliver parts as needed.
  • Serve as fire watch during hot work.
  • Secure construction equipment and other needed tools for projects.
  • Assist with construction projects.
  • General housekeeping and painting.
  • Assist the skilled tradesmen.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Who are we looking for?
Required Qualifications:
  • A results-driven individual who has demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment.
  • Can perform basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer functions.
  • Able to communicate and cooperate with other associates.
  • Understand metric and standard measuring systems.
  • Utilize a VOM and Megger.
  • Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Use basic hand and power tools.
  • Safely operate forklifts/manlifts.
  • Able to locate and utilize lockout points for all machinery.
  • Operate Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PP, DataStream, MP7i).
  • Possess basic understanding of MSDS.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understand technical service manuals and drawings.
  • Read plant PID prints.
  • Experience with MIG/TIG and stick welding (carbon and stainless steel).
  • Industrial electrical knowledge up to 480V 3 Phase.
Experience:
  • Manufacturing background preferred, not required.
Physical Demand:
  • Must be able to lift light loads and physically traverse throughout the multi-level facility. Must possess sufficient motor skills to operate and utilize a forklift.
