The role focuses on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, motor controls, 480V systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and VFDs in a steel processing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with 480V, PLCs, VFDs, and motor control centers.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience supporting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

About the Role

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial electrical and automated systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. This role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime through preventive maintenance, root-cause problem-solving, and troubleshooting electrical equipment, motor controls, 480V systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

• The technician will support equipment reliability, automation improvements, and work closely with maintenance and production teams to keep critical steel processing equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Required Skills

• Strong electrical/controls experience, including 480V three-phase systems, motor controls, MCCs, VFDs, and PLC-controlled equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including root-cause diagnosis and corrective maintenance
