Responsibilities

Starting rate: $30/hr; must have 3 years experience in Industrial Maintenance. Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various equipment and systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This role requires a versatile skill set, capable of working on machinery including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, PLCs, HVAC systems, and electrical panels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain mechanical systems, including bearings, gearboxes, belts, and other components.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and compressors.
• Perform welding, brazing, and metal fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repair and modification.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and participate in safety training and audits.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and update equipment manuals and schematics.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with potential exposure to noise, heat, cold, and environmental factors.
• Shift work, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability, may be required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals; knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and automation components.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E, journeyman electrician) are highly desirable.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting complex issues under pressure.
