Electrical Maintenance Technician
Position Details
Location: Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Electrical Maintenance Technician supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Air Force Base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in a team environment using Windows-based work order system for tasking.
- Conduct Electrical System Validation and Verification activities, including:
- Coordinating with internal and external customers prior to V&V efforts.
- Circuit tracing, visual inspection, load banking, de-energizing and re-energizing circuitry based on risk assessment.
- Configuration management activities such as documenting as-built conditions using CAD drawings and panel schedules.
Perform circuit component repair and replacement.
Troubleshoot system circuitry problems.
Perform infrared scanning of circuitry panels and switchgear for overheating and anomalies.
Carry out routine maintenance rounds in mechanical and electrical rooms; operate and understand the uninterruptible power system (UPS).
Respond to performance anomalies in facility systems.
Work effectively with team members.
Adhere to PPE and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Practices.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED with 1 year of experience, or Associate’s degree with no experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with electrical systems and equipment, and general O&M experience.
- Current Colorado Journeyman Electrical License.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for documenting as-built conditions.
- Desired Skills:
- Experience with maintenance or service trucks.
- Familiarity with Eaton Power Monitoring Systems, Maximo work order system, Siemens HVAC controls, 12470V to 24V power systems, UPS systems.
- Experience in data centers or DOD mission-related operational facilities.
Position Details
- Work Hours: Day shift, 8 hours Monday to Friday, with a weekend coverage every four to five weeks.
- Compensation: $28.60 - $39.18 per hour, based on experience and certifications.
Other Requirements
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Ability to complete a U.S. government background check and obtain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to travel, including air travel.
- Valid driver’s license.
