Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Clifton, NJ facility. This permanent, onsite role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electronically controlled systems across production and building infrastructure.
Ideal candidates bring at least two years of formal electrical training and five years of industry maintenance experience, plus proficiency with oscilloscopes, meters, and diagnostic tools.
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and installing a wide variety of electronically controlled equipment and electrical systems throughout the facility. This role supports both production machinery and building infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all assigned systems.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronically controlled equipment and electrical systems across the facility.
Maintain, repair, and install electrical circuitry on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
Test malfunctioning equipment and analyze system performance to identify the root cause of failures.
Inspect, test, and replace electronic components and circuits using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, ammeters, voltmeters, and other electrical testing instruments.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and testing results.
Follow all safety procedures, electrical codes, and company policies while performing work to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with general maintenance duties when electrical or electronic work is not required, supporting overall facility operations.
Minimum of two (2) years of formal education or technical training in electrical and electronic technology, industrial electricity, electronics, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical and electronic maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to systematically diagnose and resolve issues.
Ability to use and interpret results from test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, ammeters, voltmeters, and other electrical testing instruments.
Proficiency in maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical wiring, circuitry, and components.
Ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic systems.
Comfort working with hand tools and standard electrical tools for repair, assembly, installation, and calibration tasks.
Solid understanding of electronics principles and mechanical interfaces related to industrial equipment.
Ability to follow safety procedures and applicable electrical codes while performing all work.
This is a Permanent position based out of Clifton, NJ.
The pay range for this position is $65728.00 - $65728.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
This is a fully onsite position in Clifton,NJ.
