Job summary

Danieli Corporation in Ashland, KY is seeking an Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems in a steelmaking plant. Based at the Ashland Service Center, you will work solo or in teams to keep machinery running safely.

Requirements include a two-year degree in industrial electrical maintenance, hands-on experience with AC/DC motors and PLCs, and ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs. Strong safety focus and good English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Two‑year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components / inverters
• Proven hands‑on AC & DC motors and drives, sensors, and actuators experience
• Proven hands‑on experience with Power distribution systems maintenance
• Proven hands‑on PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID's

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, either individually or with a maintenance team.
• Conduct installation, maintenance, and modification, machine setup, troubleshooting, and repairs (electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Electricians must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them. Electricians are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, while working individually or as a part of a team with other maintenance personnel in the following areas: electronic instrumentations/DCS, electrical distribution, pneumatic/hydraulic control systems and control valves.

Electrician will be based in the Ashland, KY Service Center and will perform a wide range of tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained.

• Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
• Conduct installation, maintenance, and modification, machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, including but not limited to, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Technical Requirements

Qualifications:

• Two‑year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components / inverters
• Proven hands‑on AC & DC motors and drives, sensors, and actuators experience
• Proven hands‑on experience with Power distribution systems maintenance
• Proven hands‑on PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID's

Maintenance experience

• 3+ years of experience in a steelmaking plant with arc furnace, casting, or rolling maintenance experience
