Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment while upholding Tyson safety standards. The role includes operating 110–480 volt systems and learning Tyson SAP for work orders and documentation.

The position requires at least 6 months of mechanic work experience or related industrial maintenance education, physical ability to lift 70 lbs, and a willingness to work a 12-hour shift on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternating Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience or be a graduate/student of an industrial maintenance program.
• Willingness to learn Tyson SAP software to create work orders and document daily activities.
• Ability to read invoices, packing slips and materials records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote Tyson safety culture.
• Receive training as required.
• Perform various positions as required/assigned.
• Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment.
• Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periods.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and breakdowns.
• Train maintenance techs on equipment.
• Utilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenance.
• Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of the plant.
