Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, troubleshooting, and quality control on production equipment, while collaborating with operators and engineers to optimize processes.

Expect a data-driven, safety-focused environment with rotating to 12-hour shifts during launch. The role requires electrical expertise, PLC familiarity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Department of Labor or State Recognized Certification or Military Equivalent.
• Industrial electrical experience or combination of work experience and training.
• Working knowledge of Industrial Electronics and National Electrical Codes.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems.
• Intermediate computer skills, reading and interpreting data.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: inspect, clean, lubricate, and maintain production equipment to prevent breakdowns; pursue continuous process improvements.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Equipment Calibration: perform routine calibrations on critical measurement devices to ensure process accuracy.
• Quality Control: monitor production processes and take corrective actions to maintain product quality standards.
• Data Analysis: interpret equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities and optimization strategies.
• Safety Compliance: follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and report hazards.
• Documentation: maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Collaboration: work with operators, engineers, and other maintenance technicians to address equipment issues.
