Would you like to contribute to the protection of the environment and the operational reliability of our pipeline systems by maintaining all electrical aspects of the pipeline? The Electrical Maintenance Specialist provides professional and technical support and assists with creating a strong reliability, maintenance, and mechanical integrity culture.

What you will do:

  1. Assist maintenance teams with reliability and maintenance issues on various electrical equipment such as PLCs, VFDs, motor control centers, switchgears, instrumentation, valve actuators, electrical contractors, measurement equipment, motors, substations, etc.
  2. Collaborate with multiple teams to identify and resolve recurring reliability issues.
  3. Lead and champion preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  4. Coordinate electrical technical training for maintenance personnel.
  5. Work with Mechanical Maintenance Specialists and Reliability Engineers on reliability issues and improvements.
  6. Review equipment installations, commissioning, and participate in project design reviews and safety meetings.
  7. Support regional communication equipment and perform emergency response duties.
  8. Complete safety and technical training, and maintain compliance with regulations and standards.
  9. Support regional initiatives for efficiency, cost reduction, and standardization.
  10. Provide technical support for installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.
  11. Support development and training of technicians.
  12. Ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, NEC, OSHA, and environmental policies.
  13. Review risk register items for improvement opportunities.

Who You Are:

You have:

  • An electrical apprenticeship or technical degree with extensive experience, or significant field operations experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in electrical maintenance and preventive technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently and lead change.

Preferred qualifications include higher education in Electrical Engineering, experience with communication equipment, relay testing, transformer experience, and arc flash studies.

Working Conditions:

  • 50% field and 50% office work.
  • Availability for emergency call and occasional long hours.
  • Work in extreme weather and potentially hazardous environments.
  • Travel within the region and occasionally to meetings.

Includes physical activities like lifting, reaching, and visual and auditory requirements; mental skills for problem-solving, organizing, decision-making, and communication.
