Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s Los Angeles Refinery in Wilmington/Carson, California is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the electrical maintenance craft and union represented employees. The role ensures preventive and corrective work is performed safely, in an environmentally compliant manner, and supports 24/7 plant availability.

Onsite hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional on-call duties and TAR support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (must be completed before start date).
• At least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience as a crafts-person, engineer or supervisor in refinery, petro-chemical or related heavy industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to wear refinery PPE (respirator), perform all tasks in field, and pass hair drug test and physical.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Travel requirement 5% or less.
• Onsite schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM with on-call and TAR duties.
• Work in a production-centered 24/7 operation and may require extra hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical maintenance craft and union-represented employees; execute preventive and corrective maintenance safely and in compliance with policies.
• Ensure clear work scope, performance expectations, and training needs; coordinate with management on manpower and problem areas.
• Maintain safe working environment; participate in audits, investigations, and safety committees; ensure incidents are closed out.
• Coordinate with planning and scheduling to ensure appropriate job packages and timely completion.
• Contribute to maintenance cost control and develop repair strategies with reliability teams.
• Maintain records for assigned areas and provide daily updates to leadership.
