• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA or eligibility is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems: power distribution, control systems, PLCs, VSDs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Proven troubleshooting of complex electrical faults.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety principles and regulations.
• Hybrid work adaptability and good communication skills.

About the Role

Our client, a leading industrial conglomerate with operations in Upington, Northern Cape, is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their technical team. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of complex electrical systems and automated machinery within their facilities. The Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and contributing to the upgrade and optimization of electrical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of electrical equipment, including motors, control panels, and power distribution systems.

• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults and malfunctions promptly and efficiently.

• Collaborate with production teams to understand their needs and provide timely electrical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) or eligibility for registration is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, PLCs, and VSDs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control diagrams.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting complex electrical problems.
• In-depth understanding of electrical safety principles and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to hybrid work.
• Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule and be available for occasional on-call duties.
