Job summary

Suzano is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to lead capital projects ensuring electrical reliability across our paper mill operations. The role is hands-on, focused on project execution, troubleshooting, and vendor collaboration.

The ideal candidate has deep electrical expertise, experience with GE/Allen-Bradley/Westinghouse equipment, and strong SAP/Microsoft Office skills. Flexibility for varied shifts is expected in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–7 years of experience in pulp & paper, chemical, or oil & gas industries.
  • Strong background in power distribution, controls, PLCs, drives, and HV systems.
  • Experience with equipment from GE, Allen-Bradley, and Westinghouse.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Experience managing contractors and vendors is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to work variable hours, including early starts and occasional late shifts.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in learning and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and manage electrical improvement projects (power distribution systems, crane controls, drives upgrades).
  • Address ongoing electrical issues and identify critical spares to ensure operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and interface with contractors and vendors to execute capital projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Monitor key electrical parameters and identify opportunities for system optimization.
  • Troubleshooting electrical faults and making repairs to equipment and utility systems.
  • Support mill operations by ensuring electrical systems meet safety, reliability, and performance standards.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to align priorities and share technical insights.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating effective time management and prioritization.

About the Role:

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in supporting our paper mill operations by leading capital projects focused on sustaining electrical infrastructure. The role is highly hands‑on, with a strong focus on project execution, troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams and vendors.The ideal candidate bringsdeeptechnicalexpertisein electrical systems and thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The position collaborates closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational areas to ensure electrical reliability, manage critical spares, and support long‑term asset sustainability across the mill.
