Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to support their industrial operations with a focus on automation systems, motor controls, and capital projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, working with motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs), and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems across manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain industrial electrical control systems and components.
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
Specify, install, and support AC/DC motors, VFDs, and soft starters.
Lead or assist with installation and upgrades of electrical systems for equipment and facilities.
Perform root cause analysis and corrective action for electrical equipment failures.
Read and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control diagrams.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and automation projects.
Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
Participate in plant-wide preventive maintenance and reliability programs.
Assist in commissioning, start-up, and testing of new equipment or systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Proficient in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
Strong knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, contactors, relays, and industrial wiring.
Familiar with HMI systems, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
