Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain machinery and electrical systems, ensuring OEM quality and operational excellence. Immediate full-time opening for candidates with 5+ years in industrial maintenance and strong safety focus.

The role supports PLCs, drives, and contractor interfaces, with on-the-job JDE training and shift coordination to keep operations running smoothly. Onsite work in Georgia with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some college or training in a technical field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Corrugator experience preferred.
• Proficient in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of Industrial Maintenance Electro-Mechanic Tech ‘A’.
• PLC, Drives and Computer documentation and maintenance including contractor interface.
• Electrical projects including contractor interface.
• JDE training and oversight.
• Parts Room inventory control.
• Management of equipment documentation.
• Department IT coordinator.
• Oversight of high level electrical troubleshooting.
• Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations contributing to overall safety of the Plant.

$34-$37/hr DOE

Shifts

M-F 3p-11p overtime and weekends as needed (Will need to onboard and train on 1st shift 3weeks+)

EDUCATION And / Or EXPERIENCE

Corrugator Experience Preferred

Proficient in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

Mathematical Skills

Excellent general math skills

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to trouble shoot, schedule and plan maintenance.
