Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC is seeking a paid Electrical / Low Voltage Construction Project Intern for summer 2027 in Lenexa, Kansas. The intern will assist Project Managers, support timely project completion, and gain hands-on exposure to contract documents, budgets, safety, and compliance.

Qualified students must be enrolled in a bachelor degree program related to Construction or Electrical Engineering, with at least one semester remaining after summer 2027, and must meet background, drug screen, and

Qualifications

Enrollment in a college/university bachelor degree program related to Construction or Electrical Engineering; must be at Freshman or higher and have at least one semester remaining after summer 2027.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficient with computer software incl. spreadsheets, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
Must have a valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle on company business.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with active projects to gain exposure to various functions of construction contracting.
Support construction to ensure timely project completion.
Research and understand contract documents, budgets, safety, statutory and legal compliance.
