Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC is seeking an Intern for Electrical Construction Projects for summer 2027 reporting to our Lawrence, Kansas office. This is a paid seasonal position. Assist Project Managers on active projects to gain exposure to the construction contracting process, budgets, safety and compliance.

Interns are expected to support document review, reports, and daily field tasks under supervision. Eligible candidates are enrolled in a construction- or electrical engineering degree program,

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university bachelor program related to Construction or Electrical Engineering; freshman or higher; at least one semester remaining after summer 2027.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Interest in pursuing a career in construction.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to pass criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record checks; valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers on active projects to gain exposure to many functions of construction contracting.
• Support project teams to assure timely project completion and compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
• Research and assist in contract documents, budgets, and safety compliance.
