Job summary

Odessa College is seeking an Electrical Lineworker Instructor (Applicant Pool) to lead the Continuing Education Electrical Lineworker program. The instructor will deliver prepared curriculum, supervise skills activities, track student progress, and ensure safe, well-equipped lab environments.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree or higher in teaching or related field, a Class A CDL, and at least three years of field experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in teaching discipline or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Must have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Minimum of three (3) years of documented work experience in Electrical Line work.

Responsibilities

• Instruct the prepared curriculum for Electrical Lineworkers.
• Ability to provide theory & climbing skills instruction.
• Ability to maintain a quality program to include instruction, assessment, proper inventory and equipment, and safety.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include some nights and weekends

General Summary

The Electrical Lineworker Instructor at Odessa College plays a critical role in fostering this culture. The Electrical Lineworker Instructor serves as part of the Continuing Education (CE) division, and is responsible for leading the Electrical Lineworker program to ensure every student receives quality instruction and training to prepare them to enter into and be successful in the workforce. The instructor is responsible for presenting the prepared curriculum, supervising organized skills activities, maintaining order, recording student progress, and assuring the presence of adequate supplies and equipment to conduct the program in a safe and effective manner.
