Position available in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Lineman provides High Voltage Electrical support to the facility, performing quality work within deadlines, independently or as part of a team. Effective communication and coordination are essential.

Job Requirements:

• Comply with safety and health rules, regulations, and procedures
• Work safely and assist teammates in maintaining safety
• Identify and mitigate hazardous conditions
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace
• Interact professionally with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
• Wire, terminate, and perform switching
• Understand electrical drawings
• Complete electrical tie-ins and outages

Minimum Requirements:

• US Citizen
• Valid Driver’s License
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class B Commercial License
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
• Journeyman or Master Electrician certification preferred
• Experience with utility trucks and aerial work platforms
• Operate and maintain medium voltage substations
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Good physical condition for climbing and working in tight spaces
• Ability to complete tasks timely and work independently or in a team
• Knowledge of NEC codes
• Operate 15kv switches and breakers
• Wire pulling and terminations
• Use hydraulic crimper
• Read blueprints and work from descriptions
• Positive attitude and teamwork skills
• Provide assistance to other trades as needed
• Desired: First-aid, CPR, AED training
• Construct, repair, troubleshoot electrical lines and systems
• Operate Line Trucks safely
• Read and record meters
• Write maintenance reports
