Job Description

The Borough of Pitcairn is seeking a full-time Electrical Lineman for its Electric Department. Pitcairn is one of only thirty-five Pennsylvania municipalities that own and maintain their electrical systems, serving 3,200 residents and businesses.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified lineman to be a key part of our Utility and Public Works team, supporting our diverse community. We provide excellent benefits, wages via collective bargaining, and a defined benefit pension. Responsibilities include:

• Utility pole maintenance and replacement, electrical infrastructure upkeep, preventative maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Operating bucket trucks, derrick/digger trucks, and performing high work requiring physical strength and agility.
• Live electrical line work on primary and secondary systems.
• Substation maintenance, troubleshooting, microprocessor control programming, and load switching.
