AEP is seeking a Line Mechanic candidate to join our Huntington service area. You will install and maintain overhead and underground distribution facilities, work with energized systems, and support switching and restoration efforts to ensure reliable service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a lineworker program, and a valid CDL A with residency within 45 minutes of Huntington. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required; lineworker program preferred.
• CDL Class A and a valid driver's license required for progression.
• Willingness to reside within commuting distance of Huntington.
• Must meet safety, training, and certification milestones.

Mansioni

• Construct, install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and remove overhead and underground facilities.
• Perform line work on energized and de-energized systems while following safety rules.
• Assist with switching, sectionalizing, grounding, and restoration activities.
• Operate company equipment and maintain records and reports.
