Job summary

Canter Power Systems is seeking an Electrical Lead for standby generator installation in Greensboro, NC. You will lead the electrical scope of residential installs, from arrival to testing and completion, ensuring safety, code compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong residential electrical experience, knowledge of transfer switches and standby power systems, and the ability to lead a crew while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hands-on residential electrical experience preferred.
• Standby generator installation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience installing and wiring automatic transfer switches preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential electrical services, panels, breakers, grounding, bonding, conduit, and wiring methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical portion of residential standby generator installations.
• Install and wire standby generators, transfer switches, load-management equipment, disconnects, breakers, and related components.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, plans, and manufacturer manuals; ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with other trades and project leadership to ensure smooth installations.
• Provide direction to electrical helpers and less-experienced installers.
