Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. in Roanoke, VA, is looking for an Electrical Foreman to join Hopkins | Lacy’s MEP division.

The role involves supervising electrical craft activities, coordinating with project leadership, and ensuring productivity and construction compliance on site. The candidate will plan daily work, oversee material and equipment management, enforce OSHA safety guidelines, and guide journeymen and apprentices to high-quality results on complex projects.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of prior construction experience
  • Journeyman’s license in related trade (if applicable)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Working knowledge of standards, specifications, codes, regulations, and OSHA requirements

Responsibilities

  • Supervise crew and maintain professional relations with Owner, Engineer and team members
  • Builds job by plans and specifications as directed by supervisor
  • Develop and communicate an effective plan with the Superintendent for area of responsibility
  • Manage materials and equipment inventory and ensure proper storage and usage
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment under supervision and compliance with safety rules
  • Follow Miss Utility policy and ensure worker compliance
  • Preplans and schedules daily craft activities
  • Ensure quality control and contract compliance under supervision
  • Supervise journeymen and laborers to maintain productivity and quality
  • Direct safety programs and incident response and keep work area neat and safe
