Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking an Electrical Intern to gain real-world experience on building electrical power and lighting systems. You will support design activities within HDR's Building Engineering Services Group and work under the guidance of senior engineers.

You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and bring strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time, temporary role.

Qualifications

• Two years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects and learn how electrical design integrates into the broader engineering process.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to assist in the design of electrical power and lighting systems for buildings and sites.
• Support the preparation of construction documents and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in routine engineering tasks across various project phases, from concept through construction.
• Engage with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional development programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and project goals
