Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Intern to gain real-world experience on exciting projects and learn how electrical design integrates into the broader engineering process. You will assist in the design of electrical power and lighting systems for buildings and sites, and support construction documents under guidance of senior engineers.

This position is part-time and temporary, offering exposure to mentoring programs and the HDR employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Two years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects and learn how electrical design integrates into the broader engineering process.
• Assist in the design of electrical power and lighting systems for buildings and sites.
• Support the preparation of construction documents and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in routine engineering tasks across project phases from concept through construction.
